Today's lesson will be divided in two parts. First I would like you to practise at some different situations when ordering food. After that you'll get some time to practise for your English test on Monday.

Part 1)
Choose one of the menues below and pretend that one of you is ordering (red) and the other one is taking orders (blue). Make sure the following parts are included in your dialogue:

Person 1:
  • Welcome the customer
  • Ask how you can help them
  • Be as helpful as you can
  • Tell the customer that you're out of something and suggest something else
  • Repeat the order
  • Tell the customer how long it will take before he/she will get the food. Offer something while he/she is waiting

Person 2:

  • Make an order for three people (one is vegetarian and one is allergic to nuts)
  • Order both food and drinks
  • Ask what ingredients are included in one of the dishes
  • After the waitress/waiter has repeated your order - make one change
  • Ask for the bill

Part 2)

Practise at the words (for the test) at: www.glosor.eu or play memory with the cards I brought a few lessons ago.
